Market Notes - July 8, 2009

Futures indicated a mostly flat open for Wall Street following yesterday’s low volume sell-off. Trading volume will likely pick up soon with the start of the second quarter earnings reporting season. Alcoa kicks things off with its report after the closing bell today, but the rush of reporting will not begin until the week of July 20.

Once again, there is not much for the market to focus on today. The weekly crude oil supply report is due in the morning and the May consumer credit report is scheduled for release this afternoon.
