Market Notes - March 2, 2010

U.S. stocks were set for a higher start, a day after the S&P and NASDAQ pushed into positive territory for the year.

Auto sales will be in focus today. Tomorrow we will see the ADP Employment report and the ISM Non-Manufacturing Index. Thursday has a full slate, starting with the Bank of England and the European Central Bank rate announcements. Weekly jobless claims, the Productivity and Costs report, factory orders, and pending home sales data will all follow. We end the week with the Employment Situation report and a report on consumer credit.
