Stock futures were higher this morning after the markets finished with gains yesterday.
Economic news will be light today. The only report scheduled is on wholesale inventories, which will be released at 10:00 am ET. Economists expect inventories rose 0.4% in July while sales rose 0.3%. Wholesalers do not typically stock up on goods unless there is an expectation that retail sales will pick up in coming months, so some look to this report as an indicator of future sales.
