Market Notes - June 22, 2009

Investors seem to lack conviction lately and the futures point to another drop at the open. There will be plenty of data this week for participants to evaluate.

The main event is the two-day Federal Reserve meeting starting on Tuesday and finishing with their announcement on Wednesday. Tuesday will also bring the National Association of Realtors existing home sales data for May and the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s April home price index. Durable goods and new home sales will be released on Wednesday. Reports on GDP, weekly jobless claims, and mortgage rates will be released on Thursday, and we end the week with personal income and spending data on Friday.
