U.S. stock futures were higher this morning on a relatively light news day. The media’s focus remains on Chrysler, GM, and the ousting on GM CEO Rick Wagoner. Separately, President Obama is headed to London for the G20 summit of world leaders to discuss ways to fix the global financial crisis.
There will be plenty of economic reports for investors to mull over today. The S&P/Case-Shiller Home Price Index will be released at 9:00 ET. A decline of 18.6% is expected for the month of January. March’s Chicago PMI, a regional measure of manufacturing, is out at 9:45 ET and consumer confidence for March is scheduled for release at 10:00 ET.
