Market Notes - March 30, 2010

U.S. stocks appeared set to open with gains, continuing their trend higher, with reports on real estate and consumer confidence scheduled today.

Before the open markets open, the S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city home price index will be released. It is expected to have fallen 0.6% in January versus a year earlier.

The Consumer Confidence index from the Conference Board is due after the opening bell. It is expected to have risen to 51 in March from 46 in February.

There are no earnings releases of note scheduled, though earnings will be back on the agenda in the weeks ahead with another earnings season to kick off the week of April 12.
