The early indication from the futures market pointed to a positive open for the new month.
An early report showed personal income and spending rose in December. At 10:00 am ET we will receive the ISM Manufacturing Index and the construction spending report.
Tomorrow we will get a look at motor vehicle sales and pending home sales. On Wednesday, we will see the ISM Non-Manufacturing index and the ADP Employment report. The weekly jobless claims number will be posted Thursday, and we end the week with the government’s Employment Situation Report.
